The Proposal

For those of you who know me, I try and express myself in the most creative ways. I have a couple of other blogs and I figured this would be a pretty awesome way of keeping anyone interested in the loop on the wedding planning and my thoughts.

Scott proposed on July 30, 2010 and thus the story begins!

Here's the story of how Scott proposed to me. I copied it straight from the wedding website I created (in case you want to check that out too!)

I had never been to Colorado before. Scott took me to meet the rest of his family and show me some major highlights around the Rocky Mountains. We took a cog railroad to the summit of Pike’s Peak at 14,110 ft. At the top I walked around the summit taking pictures. Scott walked up behind me and hugged me from behind. He told me he had known I was special since I asked him to prom 4.5 years earlier. Scott said he had a question for me, spun me around, and dropped on his knee. One of our songs is “Would You Go With Me” by Josh Turner. He used one of the lines asking, “If I gave you my hand would you take it and make me the happiest man in the world?” I was so excited, out of breath, and overwhelmed! All we could do was embrace! It was an overwhelming feeling both excitement, happy tears, and a bit of altitude sickness but I think it made the moment even more special.
We were fortunate enough to share the time with his aunt Susan and uncle Jeff who rode the Cog Railway with us. Everyone on the Cog clapped for us and congratulated us
